praise Him in the storm

I have found it so easy to praise the Lord when I am on the top of the mountain. It is some what easy to praise Him as I descend to the valley. It is when I am in the valley I find it amazingly difficult. When the storms rage and I seem to have lost my direction it is difficult. It must be done. James tells us to count is joy when the trials come. It is for our good. God prosmies us that He'll never leave us. That should be enough in of itself there to shout the praises of God. Psalms 100 tells us to make a joyful nose. When tribulations are on us it is noisy and scary. But Praise Him anyway. Paul and Sials when in jail priased God. They sang aloud. God delivered them and believers were added. Awesome things really begin to take place when we praise the Lord. It is difficult but once you start you'll find it easier and easier. Befor you know it it is natural. No one can steel your joy. Unless you permit them to do so. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I feel weak many times in my life but am learning to rely on the strength of the Lord. You may say I can't! I say yes you can. All things are possible. If God is calling you to step up, then do it. Don't say I can not because I not equipt. God does not call the equipt, he equipts the called.

good samaritan

I was sitting here this morning and thinking of the parable of the Good Samaritan. I was thinking of the part where the Samaritan poured oil on the wounds and banadaged them and took care of the man despite their differences. How often today we fall short of this. How many times do we mistakingly pour salt on wounds in stead of try and help heal them. Jesus tells us to go and hlep and proclaim the good news. It may take us where we would not usually go. It may take us to people we don't like particularly. but we are to try and help anyway. think bebor you pour and reserve salt for flavoring food not for woujnds. salt hurts wounds. oil salve heals wounds. so pay close attention today and see that you are mindful of how you speak and the words you use. are they healing and helpful. or are then hurtful and cause further trouble. .

ding a ling

As many of you my dear readers know I am once again ringing the bells for the Salvation Army. You got it I am a ding a ling. Some would say I've always been so so what's the difference. The difference is I get paid now to be such. It seems to be going well so far. Six days a week for about 5 maybe six hours. We don't get the normal breaks. We get a five minute break on the hour. we can't however add them up and take them at one sitting. That is the big difference between now and the last two years. Also this year I am doing something different. Yesterday I started with it. I am handing out candy canes while I ring. as money goes in I pull one out and hand it to the person. if a child is doing I not always but usually hand over two. one for the child and one for their parent. it was awesome. I caught many off guard for sure. not everone took one but those who did seemed to smile and say thank you. I got the idea from someone last year and didn't do anything about it. but now that we are under way have decided to do something unusual. so keep us bell ringers in your prayers please. we have to model the Love of Christ and smile and refuse to react to those who choose to be unkind. I don't run into that usually but some do. it feels good to be working. just wish I had a full time permanent job. but this is alright. it is better then nothing and I am thankful for the opportunity to help raise money for a worthy cause the Salvation Army. So if you pass by a kettle drop in some change or bucks. or a check. but if you can't do any of that just stop by and say hi and encourage them. if the store you are at has coffee available for free to customers. ask if they'd like a cup. they'll probably say YES!!! but above all pray the the season goes well. we've completed the first two days and things seem to be going well. take care and God bless each one of you.

Christmas for Sale!

I am sitting here tonight mindful of a Christmas play that I was in. About 15 years ago. Not only was I in it and the star, I helped write it. It was the title of this post. Here is how it went. The first scene, sales person comes out yelling Christmas for sale get your Christmas. in comes a family. He first shows them a Las Vegas Christmas. It came complete with a lounge act, gaming tables and the such. The lounge act sang a dity. They asked the price. The sales person said100,000 dollars. The family says "no thanks to rich." Then they are drawn to a country style Christmas. A country man and his wife. The daughter of the family sits down only to stand up and say "ooo what's this." the wife of the country couple says sorry those are grandpa's teeth. then some friendly banter and grandma sings a dity. they inquire the price and are told 50,000. then they notice something strange a bright light acrossed the the salesperson says thats noghint just the light of the used Christmas lot. in walks a Shepherd played by me. The mother of the family approaches me and demands to know who I was and what I had to offer. I said "I am just a lowly shepherd and I don't have much to offer. I do have a story that has been handed down to me by family. I then told the story of shepherds the angel and how they went to see Jesus. I then sang Away in a Manger. It was the highlight of the play. Lisa our recreation director's sister was video taping this thing and I was told by Lisa that I made her sister cry with my performance. Unfortantely I no longer have said video sad to say. but it was enjoyable. oh by the way the sales person tried a high price for my Christmas then came down to say its free. The family said we'll take it and thus the play came to an end. My wish for all of you this season is simple that the Lord blesses you and that you cherish those you love and hold them close. My wish for me high on my list is 2 things 1 a permanent job. 2 and equally important. A special lady in my life that I can treasure, share my love and spend a life time with. I am not picky with looks because they'll fade. all I ask is that she loves Jesus and wants to serve Him with all she has. One who'll look past my blindness and accept me for who I am and will help me grow. someone who loves children because I am a single dad. but other then that not really any other requirements.

praise God!!!

As many of you my readers know I've been searching for a job. Some of you know that around this time of year I've done bell ringing for the Salvation Army. This year is no exception. It' offical I will be ringing again. It is for sure I will be at the same location permanently. But the only difference this year I will be working 6 days a week. Hours will be from about 9:45 or ten until 3. Six days a week. Totaling about 30 may be 32 hours a week. minium wage. but it is better then nothing. it looked like I would have to be out of a different center. but today at orientation I was advised I could go out of my original center. I gladly said I'd like to and headed over and made it offical. so please pray we meet our goal and pray that all goes well. Praise the Lord. I am a working man again. tempoary but working nonetheless.

good samaritan

I was reading my daughter her bedtime story the other night. We read "The Parable of the Good Samaritan." A certain lawyer ask Jesus a question, "teacher how can I get eternal life?" Jesus responded "you know the law what does it say." The lawyer stated "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and your neighbor as yourself." Jesus said "you said it. Go do and you'll have eternal life." Like all lawywers not wanting to made to look stupid asked a follow up "who is my neighbor?" Jes told the story. A certain man was heading for Jericho. He fell among robbers and they beat him up and left him for dead. While he is lieing there in obvious pain and bleeding he looks and sees a priest coming. I bet he cried out loud as he could for help. The priest stopped looked and passed by. He did that because he didn't want tob be bothered and become unclean. Then a Levite came the man cried out I'm sure and he passed by for the same reason. didn't want to be bothered and didn't want to be considered unclean. Then along came a Samaritan. I am pretty sure the man tried to keep quiet. being a jew a samaritan was the last person he thought would help. But he was mistaken. The samaritan came along side and bandaged up the woulnds cleaning them and put the man on his donkey and took him to an inn to rest. This I'm sure surprised the man. after all the Jews had no dealings with the samaritans. The samaritans were half Jews and considered dogs by the full blooded Jews. the next morning the Samaritan gave the inn keeper some money and said take care of him and when I come back I will repay any expense. Jesus asked the Lawyer who was neighbor. "the one who showed kindness." you notice there he didn't specifically name the samaritan. he I'm sure had a distaste for them. Jesus said go and do likewise. I stated this story for one reason. We need to ignor lables that people where. Need to ignor color ability or disability. all the outward stuff. and show love. You never know what joy you'll give the person. often times people are overlooked because they aren't a perfect 10. maybe they are disabled and can't do this or that. like me. I am totally blind but am capable of doing many things. but many times I am look past and if I am with a sighted person many times am treated like I am stupid and don't know anything. they talk to the sighted and inquire "what will he have, or what does he want?" thankfully many of my sighted friends shrug their shoulders and tell the person ask him. I've told that they have the look of surprise something like "he can speak? or He can talk?" so lets go and do like the Samaritan man did and show kindness to the down fallen or the hurting. Our Father in Heaven will reward you efferts and you'll actually walk away from the experienced having learned a thing or two. If not and you can prove that you didn't come away with some joy or having learned something. then I will eat a bowl full of beats. many of you who know me know I can't stand beats. every day you come past someone who can use some help. take the time. quit being so busy that you can't be the hands, feet or arms of Jesus. You'll be glad you did.

boycott hell

Calling all Christians! Calling all Christians! It's time to boycott hell!. You heard me! Boycott! Hell!. We need to stand on a holy picket line!. "We need to let everyone know they need not cross. We need our voices to be heard. It is time! To often many of us have been far to quiet and have let far to many cross that line and go to hell. You may say I don't know what to say. That is no excuse. Study the word of God and memorize scripture. Get yourself some tracks you can distribute those as well. Many saints have gone on ahead of us. We need others to step up and take a stand. Sometimes in just standing for the Lord, that in of itself will speak louder then any words you may or may not say. It is your actions that speak better. You may know all scripture. You may know it better then anyone else. But if your actions don't line up no one will listen. Because your words don't line up with what you say. There was a song years ago by Degarmo and Kee. By this very title. It is awesome. It spoke of not letting a neighbor cross that holy picket line. So doesn't matter your denominational preference. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the only! way to get to God and that he died for our sins and rose again as promised. then stand up and let your voice be heard. we may not see eye to eye on everything the Bible says. But bottom line is this: Jesus is the only to Heaven Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and He paid for our sins on the cross and rose again. Everything else is minor and not worth fighting over. Stop fighting each other and let's take a stand for Jesus and set the world on fire with His love and power.

follow through

We live in a day where follow through is expected. But often times isn't done. One should never give their word that they will do something and not do it. We are told in scripture that you shouldn't promise anything. But if you do promise to do... Then by all means do it. Myself I seldom promise that I'll do anything unless I am certain that I am able to follow through. We shouldn't follow through just do follow through. We should do it because it first and foremost pleases God. It shouldn't matter what others think of what we do. It matters nothing what others think. It only matters what the Lord thinks and sees us do. He already knows what we wil and won't do. Christ was born in a manger. He lived in accordance to His Father's will. He followed every custome that his culture observed. He was sent to die for our sins both past present and future. He rose again as he said he would. He followed through with the plan of the Father. He prayed that it would be possible for it to pass but submitted Himself to the task at hand. So be men and women of your word. if you are not then people will be shy of asking for your help. Because they will feel if they ask you you'll promise and not do it. but if you consistantly do as you promise then people will be more ready to trust you and ask you to do more and more. Take care to think befor you give your word. I realize that there will be times when things come up that will prevent you from following through. But that is rare. no excuse for not following through. in fact even if you don't personally get it done as you promised you can find a way for it be taken care of. So then you are still following through with what you stated you would do. You probably didn't promise that you yourself would you just promised you would be sure it was taken care of.

whose hands

I am mindful at the moment of a story I've read a while. Called Whose Hands Is It In. In this story it spoke of a basketball in our hands and stated not worth much but in the hands of Michael Jordan worth millions. A baseball in our hands not worht very much but in the hands of a player like Alen Trammel worth millions. A race car in my hands worthless. but in the hands of Mario Andretty worth millions. Whose hands is your life in? in your own hands it isn't worth much. But if yiou put it the hands of Jesus, the author of life the one who was there when you were created it will be worth more then you can imagine. I am mindful of the song He's still working on me. it is true. I am not completely what he wants me to be but will be finished one day. Also a song by Jeff Stineberg Masterpiece in Progress. This song states that we are a masterpiece in progress. A masterpiece doesn't look pretty at the start. but moment by moment as each stroke is gently made. it begins to look brighter and fuller. sad to say though the masterpiece will only be completed on our death. but others will hopefully begin to see the bright hues and streamlined look as it is being developed. in fact on my death I want my tomb stone to say "here lies a completed masterpiece. So I ask you in whose hands is you and your life in? In your own. where it is messed up dissholved and twisted. or in the Hands of the Lord. Where all the crooked edges are abled to be smoothed out and refined and faded colors given life and a new hue. It is up to you! You won't regret placing your life with Him! I have and have never regreted it. Have tried taking it back a few times and working on my own masterpiece and screwing it up. but He is able more then able to make it alright and a new again.

giving thanks

As Thanksgiving is fast approaching. I wanted to take the time and write this. When we are asked on Thanksgiving day what we are thankful don't say you have nothing to be thankful for. The fact we all have things we are thankful for. Yes, I will admit, some have more then others, the fact is we all have something that we can thank God for. For me first on my list is always, my salvation. Without it I know I'd be lost and heading for hell and no chance for Heaven. I also am thankful for freedom. The freedom to worship my Lord, to read His word and to pray. Thankful for my daughter and my family. I could go on and on. I think you have the idea. The simple things we have and take for grant it we should be thankful for. This holiday season take time to reflect on what you are thankful for. I am sure you'll find something if you only take the time to pause, listen and search. Many things happen to us and don't happen. God provides for us on a regular basis. How often do we take time out to thank Him for his blessing. We are quicker to pray for help, or for someone. It is like we live in a give me give me world. But how often do we truly stop and thank God for what he is doing and has done. Rarely I am afraid. I am not perfect and I am in the same boat. I forget to thank God. He has given me a daughter who has accepted Jesus as her saviour at the age 5. Then at the age of 8 has walked in His way and followed His command and has been baptized. While there are indeed many things I'd like to have, things like a wife, a permanent job, and my eye sight back. While I do pray on these things. I am resting in the Lord's time and am being patient for this to happen. It will one day I know. but sometimes I don't know when or how or where it will happen.

the greatest

Who is the greatest? Some would say I am because I've written 15 best sellers. While others would say no I am because I'm a MVP? and on and on. sad to say in the church some would say I am because I pastor a church of 5,000. others would say I am because I am on the deacon board. While all these are great achievements they are not how God looks at greatest. Jesus told us the measurment of being the greatest in God's kingdom. You must be aservant of all. The world doesn't consider a "servant" great. A servant is beneath them and low. But in the kingdom of God great. Does this meant a servant to only to those we like? Nope! does it mean only when we feel like it? Nope! is to only those in our church? No! Jesus a servant to all. that means even the bumb on the street whith teeth missing and holes in his shoes and who probably hasn't taken a shower in a year. we need to suck it up bear the odor and serve them some how some way. who knows the effect you'll have on one life if you take the time to serve. it is embarrassing to me to see how our family of God is selective to who'll be served. they often base criteria on serving. something like "you must attend our church once a month in order to take part in our serving you. or they might say you have to do... you know what I'm talking about. so let's lay aside the junk and requirements and start serving one another. after all Jesus served the disciples and he is Great because he is God and he came to pay the ultimate price. So let us look for ways to serve. just reach out and Jesus will reach in and help clean things up. it might take a long time but in the end you'll be rewarded not by money persay and maybe not on earth. but in Heaven. don't serve with a motive that you get something in return. serve with a humble heart and let the Lord guide and direct you and watch and see what happens.

bapism

Today, October 31, 2010, was a special day. Today RuthAnn Strube, my daughter, was baptized. Lance Laker our interum pastor did the baptism. What made this an extra special day was something that not even I thought would be possible. As many of you my readers know I had the pleasure in leading my daughter to Christ. Well that pleasure came full circle. Today I got to have the opportunity to help baptize her. That's right! I was in the tank with her and as Lance went to put her under I laid my hands on her shoulders and took part. A rproud day indeed! It was about 2 weeeks ago that she had expressed the desire to be baptized to grandma "my mom" and I was told of this. We talked during the week. Then last Sunday we talked some more and she assured me she wanted to. So it was that day after church Ruthann, my mom and I sought out Lance and I tried to get Ruthann to tell him. But would you believe it! She got shy all of a sudden. I then spoke up and told him that she would like to be baptized. He inquired when. He suggested the fowllowong week. We agreed. The whol family was there this morning. My mom and dad of course, My sister Annette, Eryl, Hannah, Sarah, Emma my brother Bryan and my grandma and her signifcant other Walt. Words cant really truly express the pleasure, excitement that I felt. I now have had the opportunity to be a big part of two major events in her Christian walk. We met with Lance this morning prior to the service to go over the plan and help Ruthann understand what was going to happen. Then befor we left Lance asked me to pray. This was awesome as well. Today is a day I will remember for a long time. Ruthann was a trooper and handled it with grace and tenderness. No sign of fear or reservation. Totally opposite of what I thought might happen. The fact my whole family was there to celebrate made this day even more special.

seen and not heard

I know I've writen about before. But it has been a while and I felt it worth repeating. There is a song by a Christian Rock group Petra, the chorus says "sometimes a christian should be seen and not heard, to much talk and not enough walk, sometimes a Christian should be seen and not heard." I agree whole heartily. We as christians spend much time talking about Christ or the wrongs we see. Not enough time walking. It is said "actions speak louder then words." I've alwasy said we need to listen twice as much as we speak. We have two ears and one mouth. That should tell us something. It is amazing how people will respond to simple acts. They respond more readily by observing the action then by hearing christian lingo. You may never know fully the result of your action. It may not be until you reach Heaven. Someone may approach you and say "thanks for sending that money I got to hear more about Jesus and accepted Him" or "thank you for helping with that box of food it was greatly appreciated and I read the material that is why I'm here today." We need to try and see the world through the eyes of Christ. It is my prayer I do. Being blind isn't horrible. God has a plan. I believe I'll see again one day. Maybe not here on earth but when I get to Heaven the first face I'll see is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Keep it simple. Dont give me the excuse "I don't have the money!" "I am not gifted in that!" Bull! You can do many things that don't require any money. You are gifted. God gifted you in a special way that no one else is and only you can do this or that for the glory of God. Remember don't judge the book by the cover. Get to reading the pages and you'll be surprised. If you can't do anything at all above all else pray!!! Prayer works and prayer changes things. I know for sure and can give many example of the fact. Just know this I love each and every one of you and am praying the Lord blesses you mightly. If you want to know more or need a friend. Maybe you want someone help you come to know Jesus. Drop a line and I'll get back to you and we'll see what we can do.

can we do it!

Many of you my dear readers know where I stand on this issue. But there are many of you who don't fully know. It is my experience that we all have opportunities to do something. Sometimes major and sometimes small. But the choice is ultimately yours. If you say on the outset you can't! or if you say I can! your right. How? you will ask. only you can make the determination if you are able or not. A victor would say I can! and do thier best to get it accomplished. The victum mentality would say "I can't" even though everyone else knows they are able. They just don't want to put out the effort. It is all in how you look at the opportunity. whether you look at as a problem or an opportunity. whetehr a pleasure and challenge or an annoying inconvenience. Uou should choose to go for it! If you then find you are unable. Then say rather then I can't say I am unable. there is a difference between the two.

the greatest love

The Bible tells us "greater love has no man than this, that he lays his life down for his friends." That is great love for sure. Jesus did just that. Praise God! He didn't stay dead but rose again. What does this mean for us? Well Seeing He did that we have the ability to accept the free gift and go to Heaven. Much more then that. Scripture command us "love the Lord God with all your heart, soul mind and strength, and your neighbor as yourself." We as christians do not have a choice in this matter really. Some people may be more difficult to love then others. Love them anyway. Never say "I can't love her or him." Yes you can! Give the matter to God. As I've been known to say "let go and let God" Does this mean we should lay our lives down. Yes! If it is needed to be done. Who knows who'll you reach by being willing to die in someone elss place. Someday you may be called on to do it. You may be given the choice "renounce Christ and live or hold to Christ and die." Difficult decision I realize. Myself I'd choose Christ and say "pull the tirgger." While awaiting death at that moment would silently pray. How do you love others? By doing the simple things. If you see a need and have the means to fullfill it, do it. You probably know who can help if you don't have the means. It is the little things we do in love that speak volumes. So to say as a christian "I hqave the right to choose to love or not" Read the word! You do not. This day and age the word love is tossed about with out thought and seems to lost meaning. Many say "I love pizza" or "I love listening to rock and roll." While it isn't wrong to say you enjoy these things. Then you should really say "I enjoy...." Don't say you love someone just to say it. Really mean it. Guys it is alright to tell a guy you love him and not mean it in an affectionate way. Ladies the same for you. It is also acceptible to tell someone of the opposite sex you love them. Remember there are different kinds of love. We have the opportunity everyday to show the love of Christ. Let's get started and do it. Without expecting something in return. You will be rewarded in Heaven and maybe receive something in return here on earth for your loving act. Noone and I mean noone! is unloveable. Just try and break through the wall and crumble it. You'll never what will happen. Those who are not christians have the choice to love or not. They to use the word with out thought often. But my point let the love of Christ spill out and you'll never run out. Especially to a fellow believer. We get beat up enough by the world. Let us not add to the stress. Also love those who are not yet in the fold. It is a challenge and I hope that you take it and run with it. Would enjoy very much to hear some of your stories. As result of you reaching out to someone in love and helping them in times of hurt or need or just because.

victor

It has been my observation throughout life that it is filled with choices. Some of these choices are major and some minor. Some easy to make and others a bit difficult. But when the rubger meets the road life only comes down to 3 choices.
1. choosing or rejecting Christ
2. victor
3. victum
The first one will decide your eternity when you die. If you choose Christ you'll live forever in Heaven. Reject Him and well I hope you like it hot. Because you'll be eternally burning and on fire. You'll be in Hell. You may say "I don't deserve hell I've been good." I say no amount of good works will get you in Heaven. It doesn't matter what you've done or who you are. Christ will accept you. Come to Him just as you are and He'll help clean you up. How? well just pray. That is all you need to do. Confess to Him you messed and ask him for forgiveness. He'll do it and you won't regret it.

Victor. You can choose this or choose to be a victum. A victum says "pity poor me," "I can't I can't." A victum plays the pity party. This is sad and often times leads to health problems down the line.

The Victor. Choosing to be a victor means simplely this "I can!" "no matter what I will find a way to find a way." The word can't isn't in a victors vocabulary. They exhaust all angles and if it is found they are unable. Then they simplely say "I am unable" This is not the same. Can't says I won't try. I am unable denotes "I tried and found no way." You need to get off your butt and exhaust all angles. You'll find a way eventually. If you don't do it you'll find a way for it to be done. Above all pray and seek the Lord's guidance and He'll show you how and where to turn. Accept input and don't feel you are a loner. Accept help and allow it. Asking for help doesn't mean your helpless. It denotes that you know you are not able in your strength to complete the task.

giants

We all face giant issues in life. Some may seem as larage as a giant. While others may seem huger, more like a mountain. Don't sweat it. You can overcome. How? You may ask! By taking small steps. Often times it is the small things we do that help us overcome the largest of problems. It doesn't take huge faith or a tank not even an atom bomb. Daivd chose 5 smooth stones to face the giant. It took only one stone to tople that giant and he was dead for sure. Jesus said "faith the size of mustard seed can move mountains." I get real bugged when people pray for me to get my sight back. When it doesn't happen they "you didn't haven enough faith" I am here to say if any one has faith that I will see again day it is me. God has a purpose and plan for me. When you face your giants in life trust the Lord. He will see you through and give you the ability and strength to defeat the giant. David said in Psalms "yea thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil your rod and staff they comfort me." So pray ask the Lord for help. No this for sure He hears your prayer and help is on the way. For those of you my readers who don't know my Lord. He loves you and will help you. Just pray and ask Him in your heart. No matter who you are, where you've been or what you've don you are accepted. Jesus paid the price by dieing on the cross and rising again from the dead. The gift of salvation is free. no amount of work can obtain it. So if you are facing a giant or mountain, look it dead in the face and tell it to move. Your God is bigger then it is. Remember the mustard seed. I've been told it is a very small seed. With God all things are possible. Paul wrote "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Rely on Christ's strength and you can be victorious and overcome any giant or mountain that dares to stand in your way. Fear not for the Lord God is with you. Be not afraid nor dismayed.

my love

As I sit here beside my window. I gaze on the stars and oh how they twinkle. They sparkle and shine like the eyes of a former love of mine. Oh how I wish she was near. I would hold her so close and dear. But alas she has gone away and I say not where. But she is out there somewhere. How I long for the love my life. I long to make her my wife. she will be treated like the queen she is. For she is treasured to me. Her beauty is rare and even the fairest of beauties can not compare. you will say but are blind how do you knwo so. I say beauty shines from within and is felt as well as shown. I will give my love my heart and life.Promise to stay by her side till my life leaves me. She will be the queen of my castle and treated with love admiration and provided for to best of my abilty. I have no riches to bestow or tangible goods to give. But what I do have a heart full of love and devotion and a promise to be true. So if you know where my love may be please send her to me. May see past my appearance and see my heart. may she never part till death. I know her smile will brighten the darkest rooms and the warmth of her embrace will chase away the coldest of nights. so until then I will wait and pray that she comes and with out delay.

to forgive or not?

To forgive or not to forgive. This is a delema we all face throughout our lives. A non christian views is a valid choice. Often times choosing not to forgive. The Christian however, doesn't truly have achoice. We are commanded in Scripture to forgive one another of sin. How many times? Peter asked Jesus this very question. He said "seven times?" Jesus said "no! I say not seven times but seventy times seven." This isn't saying we stop after 490. It is really saying tontinuously forgive. No questions. Don't put conditions on your forgiveness.Don't say"I forgive you provided you..." Surprise surprise, people aren't perfect. If they repeat the matter forgive them again and again. Work to reconcile the problem and seek for ways to make sure things improve. If the don't come to you and ask for forgiveness. Forgive any. Pray "Lord I forgive them and release the problem to you." that takes them off your hook and puts them on God's hook. In fact that is something elese we are to do.Pray for them that despitely use us or mistreat us. Holding onto the hurt andallowing bitterness toreside only causes trouble. Health wise you'll find your not feeling. Also eventually thsoe who have had no issues with you or the other person you'll lash out at. Because you know they know so and so. As I've said many times we are to "let go and let God." We are to love no matter what. In fact scripture gives us this warning "if you don't forgive your brother his tresspasses then your Heavenly Father won't forgive." this isn't say you loose your place in Heaven. That has been settled. I know it is hard to forgive. Believe me I know. But once you've done it you'll feela sense of peace and be able to move forward and be not stuck in the quag mire of bitterness. In fact bitterness shouldn't be able to be named among a body of believers. It may hurt but forgive anyway. You'll probably shock the other person. They're probably expecting a lashing. The same goes if they decide to sue you. Forgive them and reconcile the issues. and try to make ammends. If it is possible. If it isn't truly possible and you honestly tried. Let them go and pray for them. Let the Lord controll the situation. Don't try solely on your own strength. You'll bomb. But rely solely on the Lord's strength and you'll be victorious. You can do all things through Christ. With God ALL! things are possible. If someone brings up the hurt. Simplely state "I've forgiven the issue and let's move forward. Don't give place to stirring emotions that need not be stirred. Others will try and get you to hold on to your anger. They'll say "you have the right to be angry and get revenge. You do not. Vengance is Mine says the Lord I will repay. Give no place for anger. Don't let the sun go down on your anger. Knip it in the butt as soon as possible. and trust the Lord. He'll see you through.

God Speaks part 2

To continue from my previous post. God often uses people to speak. You will never know. Let me share an example. I attended State Technical Institute in Plainwell, Michigan. it has since changed its name to Michigan Career and Technical training. Anyway, while I was there I taught a Bible study. It was on a Saturday night or maybe it was on Friday. I met a gentlemen by the Name of Terry. I met him in the laundry room. I talked with him for a bit and invited him to my Bible study. He said he'd try and be there. The night of the Bible study came and it began to look like no one was coming. Terry showed up. We opened in prayer and I began teaching. I think I was teaching out of Luke 15 the Prodigal Son. I then for some reason at a given point felt that the Holy Spirit wanted me hit Ephesians 6. Putting on the Armor of God. As we ended the study and were getting ready to pray. Terry was in tears. He said "Dan how did you know?" He repeated this a few times. I stated I didn't know but the Lord knew and He used me to communicate to you a message. We then prayed and he left for his room. I must confess I didn't know. I had only met this gentlemen a few days befor and really didn't see him since. So God does speak today. Sometimes He himself or the Holy Spirit. Sometimes he'll use a Bible verse. Sometime people. But mark my words He speaks. We need to shut our moths and listen. It may catch us off guard but for sure it is exciting. The other exciting that happened that night. After the study concluded. My roommate came rushing in a bit out of breath. He sat beside me on the bed and I had the opportunity to lead him to the Lord. it wasn't until the next day I over heard in my class that a Saeance took place the floor above me. it happened right about the same time I was led to Ephesians 6. Chance? No God knew. God speaks moves in ways that even I marvel at.

God Speaks

It is debated among Christians as to "does God still speak like he used to?" I am here to say without a doubt He does. I have an example of this. Many of you, my dear readers, know that I am diabetic. I was diagnosed with it in March of 1998. Also many of you know that I am totally blind and have Neurofibromatosis. Well the Summer of 1998 I was sitting on my Balconey reading the Bible and listening to praise music and praying. Earnestly praying that the Lord would heal me of all these issues. Then at one point I decided that I spoke enough. I closed my Bible and turned off the music. Then I really listened. It was at that moment I heard in a very distinct and audible voice: "daniel do you want me to heal you for your purposes? or are you willing to be the way you are and let me work my work in you." this was something that caught me off guard and wasn't sure how to respond. Being a Baptist all my life it never happened to me before. I was always taught God doesn't speak to us like He used to. I folded up my chair and carried my stuff in. I then related my experience to my Catholic roommate. He said "so how did you respond?" I stated still in shock that I wasn't sure. but later that evening I decided that His way is best and submitted my will to His. God speaks today no doubt about it. It may be like I experienced or a scripture we read or a friend or coworker. He'll use any means neccessary that will cause us to hear the message. the Holy Spirit is in a believers heart and sad to say is often ignored. If we just take the time to shut our mouths and stop and listen, you never know what you may hear. God gave us two ears and one mouth. that means something. What? you might ask. It means we should listen twice as much as we speak. often times our mouths cause termoil and problems that could be avoided if we'd only listen a bit. But be sure when youhear a voice thqat you are aware of the source. Satan candistract us sometimes disguising the message slightly so it looks good. But be assured that my God loves you and I love you and am praying for you. I've been called many things in my lifetime. Some good and some not so good. But the greatest compliment was "you need prayer? talk with Daniel he's a pray warrior." So until next time may the Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine on you and may He give you his peace.

Labor Day

This year was an unusual year in many respects. Every year on Labor Day they have a bridge walk. It is not a short walk, about 5 miles.lol. I asked mom and dad about going and doing the Macinaw Bridge walk. It is an anual event. Even our governor takes part. It starts at 7am and the last group to start their treck is at 11am.When I asked about going, my mom said she would have to talk to dad. She also indicated she was concerned about gas,and about getting up so early,in the morning. I offered to foot the bill for the gas.So I patiently waited for their decision. This was on Saturday. Having not heard anything I inquired Sunday afternoon while at lunch. It was then decided we would go and do it.Instead of going up that night we decided to drive up the morning of. This is a 4 hour treck. so mom set her alarm for 4:00am and finally rose fifteen minutes later, and began to slowly get ready. I've done the walk before so I was the veteran of the group. Neither RuthAnn nor my parents have ever done it. So we left for the trip. We did the walk. It went well for the most part. RuthAnn did amazing. However Grandpa "my dad" carried her some of the way. After we completed the walk we took the shuddle back across so we could get our van. Had we just parked on the other side we would have saved the bridge fare. When we got back to the other side we decided we'd get something to eat. After this we browsed some of the shops. RuthAnn and I tried on some interesting hats, it was fun. We stopped at a t-shirt place and I and Ruthann both got a t-shirt. Mine said "bridge walk 2010 I did it again." on the back it gave facts about the bridge. RuthAnn's shirt showed the bridge and I think it said "Mackinaw Bridge Walk. It was tempting but i didn't give in to buy some Macinaw Island fudge. As the time was getting later we needed to get going because Ruthann had school in the morning. We drove and it began to down pour rain, but we stopped anyway to look at some animals that Ruthann was wanting to see. not real animals, mind you. So mom and her put their jackets over their heads so they could keep some what dry. While dad and I stayed in the van.As we drew near to home we stopped at RuthAnn's favorite place for dinner. where? You may ask. Why McDonalds of course. And on the way home RuthAnn requested to have permission to wear her new shirt to school.Permission granted. The next morning as she got ready she was quick to remember her new shirt and wore it with great pride. The experience was awesome. Fun for all. But next year we'll probably go up the night before, that way no need to get up so early in the morning. to walk 5 miles is interesting and not something I'd do all the time. But I was with family' and RuthAnn seemed to enjoy herself. She'd never even seen the bridge before so it was a double treat.Of course mom took a lot of pictures, so that is where I got the ones you see here. The plan is to make it an anual event to do. I'm all for it. I am a nut everyone knows but I'll admit it and say I've tried to be normal but it was no fun. So I got to be me. a nut just like my parents for sure. After completing the walk we each received a certificate showing we completed. There were thousands of people. Don't know the exact numbers but a great turn out as usual and all had fun. Mom had her concerns and worries and uncertainity but she braved it and did just fine.

wake up and dream

Hey! Do you know what time it is? it is time to wake up and dream! I realize this is kind of odd. but each and every one of you have a dream. I know it. and it is unique to you. it is nota dream that your mom, dad or anyone has. while it may be kind of the same it is as unique as you are.

you may say it is not possible to achieve my dream. you're right! if you believe you can or if you believe you can't you are right. There are many ways to achieve your dream. First and formost decide to do it. That is the first step.

Write your dream downon paper. then in front of witnessses seal it in an envelope. this action denotes that it is a done deal and sealed.

next have it writen down and look at it when you wake and when you go to sleep. this will engrain it in your mind. say to yourself "no matter how bad it is or how bad it gets I am going to make it." it isn't up to anyone else to make it happen but you.

For some their dream is in reality a new car. they'll say "a new used car." but reality says a new car. if that is your dream, go to lots and check it out. if you are looking and your young the sales clerk may say "your a little young to be looking for a vehicle like this!" say in reply "it doesn't take age it takes money." they will back down big time. if your dream is travel. look at movies brochures or pictures that show your dream area. you'll say to me "Dan, your blind how can you do that." I'll say that there are models and such that i can get that symbolize my dream. as to travel I can listen to movies that are filmed in my dream area.

while pursuing your dream talk with others about it and get information. never give up. don't put your dream on a shelf. it may take a long time to achieve your dream. but it is possible. say to your self "if it is going to be it is up to me." others can help you get there but ultimately it is up to you.

lastly but not less important. pray! seek the Lord and ask for direction. Trust in the Lord and He'll help you make it happen. the word says "without vision the people perish. so people all have a dream. it is up to you to realize it. take action and go for it. I hope to one day see each and every one of you at the top!

come back

I was there at your birth. I am seen you grow and have been there as you went through your birht pangs. I wept with you and laughed with you. as you faught to grow and mature i was there. You once took pride in spending time with me and learning from me. But you left me. you accepted the promises of another. But it appears you now struggle and the promises of safety security and joy seem to have failed you. How I log to take you back in my arms and cleanse your wounds. I long to have a restored fellowship with you. I will take you back no questions asked. You are my child and you are special to me. all your children I long to take back. if you would only turn from the one who promised you prosperity and no longer follow his wicked ways. you have banned me from your schools and are trying to push me further from you. nonetheless I still love with an everlasting love. will take you back when you wish to come back. there are some of you who have come to me and i accept you and long to help you grow more mature. but for the rest come back! it is my heart's cry and you will be blessed.

the above was given to me by the Lord recently and it is how He probably feels of our nation. be blessed each of you who serve him and long to serve him. and for those of you who don't know him yet come to him and be blessed and your lives will never be the same.

challenges

Throughout our lives we are faced with a diversity of challenges. Some of these challenges are big, and some of these are small. But no matter what the challenge is God is on our side and in control so we have nothing to fear. However, it is when we are faced with a challenge we have a choice to make. We can choose to be a victor, or a victum. Let me assure you no matter the choice it is well. But let me advise that you choose to be a victor. It will go better for you in the long run. Not only will you feel good about yourself, but you will move through the challenge a bit more smoothly. I am not saying it will come out the way you wish to have it always; What iI am saying is you will feel better. When one feel better they act better and when they do this they draw attention to what they do and whenthey do this it is prime time an good timeto proclaim the Lord Jesus to those who needdhim. We live in an imperfect world and faced withchllnges but we will overcome. Scriptures says inPhiliians "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." so Christ gives the strength so it won't fail. and this will mean all things not a select few. clai that promise and see what happens. if you choose to be a victum you'll feel depressed and upset. and your system will break down and that leads to colds and other illneses. am i saying thata victor has perfect health? no! but they are far less likely to come down with colds and sch because they system is actve. and let admit this: it is more fun being around a person who chooses to be a victor. then one who chooses to play the victum "the poor me pitty me."attitude. so smile" it takes more work to frown then to sile. and you can use that energy to get more jobs done. Jesus is our strength and will supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory. till next time rise up and keep reaching for your dreams. I will see you at the top.

seen and heard

sometimes God's people should be seen and not heard. these we have way to much talk and not enough walk. God gave us 2 ears one mouth. that should tell us something. we christians love to talk and at times it is alright but sometimes we should keep mouth shut listen and walk the walk. it is difficult i know. but it is easy to talk the talk but when push comes to shove and ruber meets road. we often find excuses and give them as to why we don't walk. i am just as guilty as anyone else. but am beginning to see that sometimes it is better to be quiet. there have been times when i spoke to much and should have listened more. we need to listen twice as much as we speak. and think befor you speak. for every one negative comment you tell someone it takes 4 possititve ones to override it. example "you just baught a new dress or suit. everyone who sees it is saying how good it looks. but one person who says it isn't you or that doesn't look good. many times then you'll head right back to the store seeking a refund. use your words carefully. i've always said it is not what you say it is how you say what you say. that conveys message. whether it is the one you wanted to convey or not it is conveyed nonetheless. if memory serves me correctly Solomn even wrote on this matter. so think befor you speak and watch and see what happens. and sometimes even though you want to speak. don't! because sometimes that is why the person is doing or saying what they are saying or doing. so they can get a reaction from you. and they know you'll say something. but if you keep the lips zipped. then it will stop often times and they'll probably wonder why? and that is perfect opportunity to reflect God's love and show grace. and who knows you may be able to help win a soul to Christ.

forgiveness and love!

It has come to my attention that many churches teach but seem to seldom practice forgiveness and love. they speak about it until the cows come home. but when time to practice it is rare or if it is practice it is practice with the attitude "i'll do it if i have to" this is wrong.

You may ask "how often should I forgive?" I say limitless. we should forgive all things no matter what the isue. I know some things are harder to forgive then others but forgive anyway. I know offenses are repeated often. Forgive any. Jesus has forgiven them and has forgiven us for all things. so we should follow in step. afterall our goal is to be like him. Love them all the time and no matter what they've done. God loves them and sent His Son Jesus to die and rise again for them. so we should love them. some are harder to love then others i know. but that is no excuse. as stated in a previous post "no such thing as unloveable."

one may ask "buthe is abusive." I say get out o the situation but love them anyway and forgive. not in wordonly but in speech and action. it iseasy to say "i love you!" or I forgive you" but often our actions reflect something different. and when you sy these say fo from the heart. and ean it. the way you say wll have a dramatic influence.

it is far time the church steps up and sarts truly living theway we are commanded. without "what's init forme" attitude. Christ went to th cross and rose again for or sin and has and ill forgiv us no matter what we do or how often we do it. so it is time for us to follow him. you will say but he was perfect. I say no excuse. forgive and love. will you forget probably not but you should put it ehind you and not carry it on your shoulder ike a chipdaring someone to knock it off. in closing "lt go and let God!" love all and forgive all. you'll be surprised the change taht will take place over time. and if someone asks why then that your opportunity to say "because Jesus loves you" and who knows tha may be your chance dear saints to win a soul for the Lord. and that is our goal. we really have no choice o this issue. we are commanded to love and told to forgive. so stop not doing it and start doing it. no matter what. who knows what will happen.

church growth?

Many people have often said "I'd really like to see our church grow but..." the but is usually followed by "I can't" or "I don't know..." or even "it is not up to me it is the pastor or deacons responsiblity." That is false. it is up to each and everyone of us to help in whatever way we can. it may be simple as praying for the church which we all should do. maybe helping put togather the bulletin. there are mutiple ways to help. talking with your friends with out fear of them stopping being a fried. invite invite invite. bring it up in conversation casually. also help lan events at your church to bring people to. but most important pray for your church. and look for ways to serve. you may be unnoticed but the Lord sees it. He promises in His word "what is done in secret will be rewarded openly." reward shouldn't be your motivation but the Lord should be. Love love and love anyone and everyone as we are commanded. there is no such person "unloveable." we all would fall in that catagory but Father God sent His Son Jesus anyway to die for our sins and he rose again like he promised. so we should love one and all no matter what. some I will admit are harder then others but love anyway. in the end you may see amazing thngs happen that even you didn't expect. so how do we expand the church. stand on the promises not sit on the premises and take action. no matter how large or small it may be. you'll be glad you did others in the church will appreciate it and the Lord will reward you for it. you don't need to be a scholar to help just help. look for ways and offer help. and keep offering to help until they find a way to have you help. they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. so until next time. the Lord loves you and so do I.

Valentine's Day

Well Valentine's day is coming. just a reminder to do something for someone to show you love them. we are commanded in Scripture to love one another so who will you show love to. You may say "I don't have enough money!" I say it doesn't take a lot of money to show someone you love them. Sometimes and actually all the time the simple fact that you put forth the effort to do something is appreciated. You can do something as simple as
1. call them on the phone
2. write a note in your words explaining how much love them tht is better then any card.
3 invite someone over for dinner, desert or coffee
4 take someone out for lunch or something.
do this for someone to show your love and it doesn't have to be romantic love. just show Christ's love for someone. even the person who disspitefully treates you. in fact I'll be willing to bbet that your act of love will turn them around. After all whatever you do is peanuts compare to what the Heavenly "Father paid for your sin. He sent His son to die for you. he rose again and offers a place in Heaven just for you free of charge. the debt has been paid. so step out and do something. keep it simple. we saints put to much emphasis on the price of the gift on this day. forget it! just do something. no matter if it is is just a hug. the fact you are showing your love is appreciated. and i'll bet that the person would be more satisfied with a simple act then the most expensive. it may be a challenge but do it. the Lord will reward you for your action of love. even if it doesn;'t seem that it is appreciated. don't do it expecting anything and I mean anything in return. just do it from the heart and watch the reaction. i'll bet that it will be priceless and worth more then you could ever dream. if you've never accept Jesus do it today. you'll be glad you did and the rewards in life and after will be more then your dreams. till next time remember I love you and more importantly God loves you. no it doesn't matter who you are or what did or didn't do Jesus loves you. and will accept you. just confess to him you sinned "messed up" and ask him to come in to your heart. he'll take care of the rest and from thatmoment on your place in heaven is secure. So show your love for someone and watch what happens.

appearances

There is a lot of talk these days about "appearences" being everything. While in certain circumstances I'll agree that that is true. those being of course "jobs, interviews and school." However the line should be blurred and erased when it comes to church and other situations.

All to often it has been my experience in church that it is expected that you dress a certain way. if you don't you are looked down on and not only that people don't even try to speak with you or just totally move far away from you. however if you dress in a suit and tie or a fine dress. watch and see how many people suddenly gravitate toward you in numbers. it is kind of like and pardon my bluntness here "sucking up." it seems if you dress nice you must have the dough. and if you got the dough you'll want to give to a place that treats you right. I'll say it is alright to a degree. but we shouldn't show favortism based on looks. you don't know where they been or why they are there. you'll probably be the only Jesus they'll see and if you don't reach out to them. then who will? in many churches if you come whering holes in your jeans anda t-shirt and sandals you are look at as if you have a problem. and people will often distance themselves from you. not all churches do this but it has been my experience more then not that it is so. and it isn't just dress. if you walk in and show you have a disability they either play the pty party game ad over help or accept you for who you are. however if you step up and offer to help they are very reluctant to allow you. because they don't know how you'll hadle the duty. instead of asking you or discussing the matter the disabled person or person who's dress is less then perfect are ignored. and or put off and given excuses as to why "no."

this shouldn't be. we should accept one another no matter who, wha or how we are. show love not favoritism and seek to educate ourselves. you never know what will happen. beauty is skin deep. what is on the inside often is beautiful and ready to shine. and it is this class of people quite honestly i've seen are more willing to serve and get their hands dirty. The apostle James warns against showing favoritism strongly.

so the next time you are in church and you see someone new and they don't look or smell or appear like you think is proper. stop. walk over to them extend a hand and smile and say "welcome!" we're glad you are hear. this may difficult but be genuine and sincere and allow the Love of Christ flow. who knows you may be talking with the next Billy Graham or maybe the next Joyce Meyer. God makes all things beautiful and can use anyone anytime and any place. he just wants a heart that believes in him. and he'll take care care of the rest. who knows. so let's stop looking at the outershell and get to know the inner person and wait on the Lord to show us what and how they can be used.

till next time God loves you and so do I. be blessed.

surprises

I have had many times in my life when I've been caught by surprise. I mean really caught by surprise and amazed at the provision of God. Let me take the time and relate just a few of those times here.

The first time was when I was living in Omaha. It while I was working for Marriot as a Guest Relations Representative. My manager called me over to her desk. Thinking I might be in trouble for something I did or didn't do. I went over. She advised me that someone had submitted my name to receive a Thanksgiving basket. I don't know who it was and she did say. I didn't find out. It was appreciated and amazed me. It was appreciated because money was a bit tight at that moment and food was needed. A example of how God provides when we don't think it possible or even in a way we don't expect it possible. As to what all what was in the box I don't recall. All I remember was it was all good for sure.

The second time was around Christmas the following year. We did a secret Santa in our department. My secret Sana got me some socks, and a few other items. But the surpise was from the whole department. It was a "$100" gift card to Target. This surprised me and humbled me. It was amazing and for sure came in handy. As to what ll it was spent on I don't recall. but I do remember thinking God is amazing. As to how the department did it without me catching on I have no idea. But am ineed thankful.

Finally, my last day at Marriot. This was a sad day but a good day. I was leaving to go to Colorado. Leaving to be with my wife to be. I was working hard and do my thing. When I finished a call I put my phone on hold. I did this so I could finish typing a couple of notes on the file I just started. I then sent said file to the appropiate outbound representative as usual. I then heard the tone in my headset indicating that I was loggged off. At that point I proceeded to reach over to log my phone back on. It was then I was told "Daniel come with me" Think it was to do some final paperwork I got up and followed. It was then I was led to a room. and told have a seat. I was then given a glass of punch and a plate of cake. and spent the next hour or so enjoying a fair well party. They had a poster there that everyone signed. I then returned to my desk for the last little bit of my shift. As i packed up to leave, I was handed some cash. It ws to the tune of $80 dollars. Again surprised and thankful for the gift. that was a going away gift/wedding gift.

Amazed an surprized. But this moring I sit here and think. God is Good all the time and all the time God is good. he provides for us andd at times it catches us off guard but you know what? It shouldn't. Because God promises to provide above and beyond what we think. Because I am in Christ. So my dear friend if you don't know Him. Why not? it only takes a moment. I will tell you you won't regret chosing Christ. I promise you it won't be an easy road but the rewards here and in the end are amazing. If you have stepped away from Christ dear saint let me encourage you to come back. He hasn't left you ever and is always ready to take you back with arms open. So until next time. May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and may He always make his face to shine on you and give you His peace. God bless and till next time remember to pray to pray for the peace of Jersaleum .

angels

Do angels really exist and appear to us today? my dear saints yes they do! I have a few examples I could readily give. But for the sake of not being long winded I will give one that sticks out in my mind at the moment.

While I lived in Denver and I didn't have an apartment. I was stayin at the Salvation Army. My wife "now x" was staying down the road at the Samaritian House. I will admit during this time my marriage was not well. but in the spirit to try and get it back and moving I tried to get a bed where she was staying. The way they do this is you are given a card. if they draw your card you get the bed. there was only one bed available. the card was drawn. nope it wasn't mine. but that isn't where it ends. I got up and proceeded to leave. I was told hold on a minute. I waited and then was told I got the bed. what happened was the man whose card was drawn spoke with them and motioned to me. indicating he wanted me to have the bed. he then left and he had only walked a few few feet from the gate. and like that was gone. vanished no trace. angel? I suspect as much. so I stayed thre and talked with my wife and tried to work on our marriage. not long after that was accepted to attend the Colorado Center for the Blind to take some Parenting classes. that is another story for another day.

so dear saints scripture tells us how we should be have and warns us that we may entertain angels unaware. they come at odd moments and unexpected times. but it is usually unexplainable.

one more story quickly.
I was waiting for the bus one day in Denver my wife and I were sharing a hotel room with another couple. while I waited for the bus a gentlemen approached me and stated "the Lord wants me to give this to you." he handed me a crisp bill and like that was gone. before I could ask what it was. I arrived at work thinking it was probably a five or a one and tried to get change. no way. I found a trusted friend and supervisor and asked her "what is this?" she advised it was a "$50" I stood in awe and put it in my wallet. that night we needed to pick up a few things for dinner and do laundry. no money on hand. I then remembered "$50" took it out and it was exactly what was needed. I never saw that man again. have no way to know where he went or any thing like that. so keep your eyes peeled and stay on the alert. because when you are in need to going through rough times God will often send his Angels to help us through. it is awesome and I praise God.

No angels don't appear like they did in the days of old with bright light and wings and all that we see in pictures or how we see them protrayed in scripture. but they do come and they do help and sometimes relay message that we need for the moment.

you may ask "your x" yes I am divorced now I did make effert to make things work and prayed hard but sometimes things are not meant to be. I learned many lessons but I know that God answers prayers. not always the way we want but he answers them and His way is the best. so trust the Lord and rest in His arms and know aht he'll provide and that he loves you. and so do I.

He is there

I realize that many of you are struggling with many different issues. You I know have anexiety about many things. I am also aware that you such as I sometimes wonder "Go! Where! Are! You!" it is those times that we need to go to him and cry out. Jesus promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He is truly there all the time. At times it feels like we are alone but we are never really alone. He is just a prayer away and wants us to trust in Him fully and know that He'll provide all we need when we need it and how we need it. He is an on time God.

If you have sin confess it and know that you are forgiven no matter what it is. you may have confessed it many times and keep returning to it. But know you are always and forever will be forgiven. just accept that and know it. Live in Victory and walk in your freedom. If you are approached by someone and asked to forgive do it. Forgive them and forget it. put it behind you for God our Father has done it when we ask him to forgive us. It is difficult I know. But even though you at the moment are drifting through rough seas. it seems that no safety is in sight. rest in Jesus and know that he cares, loves and is by your side. Weeping lasts during the night but Joy! comes in the morning. though you may cry many tears and have many sleepless nights. rest in the arms of Jesus and know that he cares for you. he will protect you no matter how difficult it seems. he won't allow you to go through anything without him and won't allow you to go through it if you cant bare it.

WhyWorry

Many saints and I include myself with this because I do it sin. I know we all do but this sin is a suttle one and one that is often not thought of as sin. But anything that is done outside of lining up with the Bible is sin. The sin? WORRY!. Yes worry is a sin.

Dear saints it is a sin and many of you will disagree. But Scripture tells us that it is. Paul wrote in Philipians 4 "be anxious for nothing..." you will say that is anxiety not worry. but I tell you worry is anxiety. Christ himself even told us "take not thought of tommarrow what you will eat drink or wear." in other words "don't worry"

you will ask what then should I do? I am glad you ask. instead of wasting energy on worry pray pray pray. give the situation to the Lord and leave it with him. don't try ad fret abut it and handle it on your own. Let God take care of it. Some have said I don't pray because he probably won't answer. He will and does always answer our prayers. it isn't always the wa we want or in our timing but his timing is best. He may sa yes he may say no but the hardest answer is wait. We all hate to wait. as a rule most people are in to much a hurry. but it is said good things come to those who wait.

so why worry? not an option for the saint of God. prayer is the only opetion and one that needs to be done with fervent passion and with expedientness. So the next you find yourself worrying. Stop!! use that energy to pray and leave in the Lord's hands. His hands are best and Luke says "with all things are possible." so believe it and trust and go forth and serve the Lord with the fervent passion that I know all of you dear saints have. Till next time.

No Matter Who You Are

It doesn't matter who you are. Jesus loves you. It doesn't even matter what you've done or not done. He loves you just the same.

You may say... I have: stolen stuff, used foul language in front of children, drank until i was so drunk i was sober or you may say i murderered. it doesn't matter. what you've done in te past. Jesus loves you just the same.

Jesus is calling the perfect into his family he is calling those who want to have eternal life. He paid the price you deserve for your sin. He came, died ad rose again. All that is up to you is to choose to have him in your life.

it doesn't matter if you are white black, purple or pink. doesn't matter if you are male or female abled or disabled. whosoever wil call on the name of the Lord will be saved. And believe me your life won't be same if you choose Christ. it won't be smooth sailing but i promise the rewards in the end are worth it for sure.

the Bible says "if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved." it also says "sosoever will call on the name of the Lord shal be saved." last I checked "whosoever" means anyone. God loves you so much he sent Jesus to take your place. Jesus did it to help restore the broken relationship between us and God. you are never to old or to young to take this step. after you do then find a good Bible and read it daly. also find a good church and attend regularly.

how do you take this gift. it is simple you just ask God for it. no specific words you must use. just admit that you need him and ask him to come into your heat. simple as that. just ask for the free gift and God will take care of the details. if you want to know more feel free to ask me and I will respond and if you want help praying i can help that way as well. But don't wait until it is to late. because after you die that is it and no second chance to change your mind. so spend eternity with me in Heaven one day or live like you do and not accept the free gift and be tormented in Hell. it is your choice and only you can decide. what you do doesn't make a difference with where you spend eternity you just need to take the free gift and let God help you with the rest. I serve an awesome God who loves you for who you are and willhelp you run with endurence. IF you mess up after you decide to go to heaven simple. just confess to him you messed up ad move on. make it right when possible but don't fret the small stuff. just move forward. Jesus is the only way to heaven and I hope to see you there when I get there.

waiting

We all have to wait for a variety of things in life. Things like: trafic lights to change, to see the doctor, to be seated at a restoraunt. Many of us complain about some of these waits because it seems tediously needless. But when it comes to waiting on the Lord we struggle even more.

Isaiah 40 31 says: But those who wait on the LORD Shal mount up with wings like eagles, They run and not be weary, They shal walk and not fail."

Simplely put waiting on the Lord has its rewards. Afterall His timing is perfect. Dear saints we serve an on time God ad he is never late with fullfilling his promise. Our strength won't see us through. But it is when we rely on theLord's strength and wait on him to help we get through smoother. This doesn't mean we sit and not do. we do and do it all for the glory of the Lord. Who cares if we get recognized for what we do. it would be nice but that shouldn't be our objective for doing. Dear saints you are in Christ and should do what he asks of you to do. in doing so you'll show others the Father and they'll want to know more.

So don't hurry up. WAIT!! it has been said by otehrs older then me "good things come to those wait." if we hurry it along it more then likely won't come out as well. take your time relax and let the Lord direct guide. eagles fly gracefully and have awesome power in their wings. do we get tired sure. but if we wait on the Lord we won't tire of waiting because we know our Father knows best. Take your time learn as you go and take pleasure in knowing that your Heavenly Father is taking care of business. and when you pray ad tell him your needs or trouble. leave it with him and let him handle it. he has the power and plan to make it happen.

Till next time the Lord bless you and keep you, may his face always shine on you and may he give you his peace.
renew their strength

our most powerful weapons

We have two very powerful weapons in our spiritual arsonal. they are:
prayer
love
Prayer is very powerful! Sad to say seems like it is seldom used or taken seriously by many saints.
How often do I hear one say "I'll pray for you about that..." and they move on and don't. if we promise to pray we need to follow through.

Prayer is simplely us communicating with our Father in heaven about our concerns. Some have told me they haven't prayed about... because He probably answer. My response to that is: "He always answers!" "it isn't always in line with what we hope for." If we as a family of God took prayer more seriously and kept at until we saw an answer. I'll be willing to bet that we would see awesome things happen. and not only that but we would send old ugly running and packing. so no excuse as to not prayuibng. time isn't an excuse you have time for a lot of stuff and if you look over your day you'll realize I'm right. so instead of complaining about why... pray!!!

Love is also powerful and we need to show others we love them even if it hurts. no matter who they are or what they may or may have done. love them anyway. who knows! maybe by showing them love you'll bring them to Cyhrist or back to Christ. You may be the only one who can make the difference in their life at that moment. God loves them and you qand so share that love with anyone and everyone you meet.

you may say "I don't have the funds!" I sa6y "it don't take loads of funds to show love sometimes a simple card or letter or just a word of encouragement" you may say "I have no time!" I say "no excuse Jesus Christ took the time to come minister die and rise again so you could be restored to a right relationship with Father God. you'll say "that was Jesus he was God so he had time he could make it" still no excuse not to show love. so go and show someone you love them and watch the results. I am sure you'll be surprised.

The world does enough beating up of people. we are to be different and shed light in one's dark world. You never know where it may lead or what may happen. this is for sure their life won't be the same after your act of love. And for goodness sake don't brag about it saying "look what I did for... or I did this to show I loved tem" do it and don't expect recognition for it the Lord will reward your effort and see you are taken care of.

May the Lord bless all of you and remember you are dear saints and I love each one of you and the Lord does abundantly.
